After seeing so many other photo blogs and asking what photo editting software is used and more than one person telling me Picasa, I checked it out. I likey.

Thats a real tricky one carae, picasa is really good :-)
The color of that flower really pops out at ya... just as you intended it to. Nicely done.
Carae, Picasa (a Google product now) is a really nice program for doing the lower level things like changing brightness and contrast or desaturating the image like your pretty flower. I also has a great photo collage tool that works wonders, not to mention that it can be used to directly upload to Blogger. However, if you ar going to do smoe major picture editing as you will be if you continue to pursue photography, you will eventually have to move up to something like Photoshop Elements or the full blown Photoshop CS2. Photoshop opens a whole new world to digital photography.
Keep the pictures coming, I check here every day for new stuff.
